skype തന്നെ-sound and video quality നോക്കുമ്പോ കിടിലം.
പക്ഷേ മറ്റു VOIP കളുമായി താരതമ്യപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോ  skype ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് ഫോ​ണ്‍ വിളിക്കാന്‍ കൂടുതലു കാശാകും. അതുകൊണ്ട് PC to PC calls ന് google talk, yahoo messenger എന്നിവക്കു പകരമായി skype ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതാവും ഉത്തമം.

actionvoip യും nymgo യും ഞാനിപ്പോ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.  രണ്ടും കൊള്ളാം-കുഴപ്പമില്ലാത്ത ശബ്ദം- ട്രൗസറുകീറിക്കാത്ത കോള്‍ റേറ്റ് എന്നിവയാണ് പ്രയോജനങ്ങള്‍.

പക്ഷേ......

ഇമ്മാതിരി VOIP കളുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ കുറച്ച് പൊടിക്കൈകള്‍ ഇനി നോക്കാം

പല VOIP കളും vista യിലും windows 7 യിലും നന്നായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. കോംപാറ്റബിലിറ്റി പ്രോബ്ലം ആണ് കാരണം. ലത് ശരിയാക്കാന്‍ നേരെ അതിന്‍റെ പ്രോഗ്രാം ഫയലില്‍ പോയി (എവിടാന്നു വച്ചാ കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചോണം)
ഉദാ: c:/programfiles/skype/skype.exe

 c:/programfiles/nymgo/nymgo.exe

 c:/programfiles/actionvoip/actionvoip.exe

ദാ ആ exe ഫയലില്‍ റൈറ്റ് ക്ലിക്കു ചെയ്യണം.  എന്നിട്ട്

compatibility എന്ന ടാബില്‍ ഞെക്കുക. എന്നിട്ട് Run this program in compatibility mode for എന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് ടിക്ക് ചെയ്യുക.  അതിനുശേഷം windowsXP(service Pack2) ലത് സെലക്ട് ചെയ്ത് ഈ പോട്ടത്തില്‍ കാണുന്നപോലൊക്കെ ചെയ്ത് OK അടിക്കുക.  മിക്കവാറും പ്രശ്നം തീര്‍ന്നിട്ടുണ്ടാകും(ണ്ടാകണം)

ഇതേ സംഭവം തന്നെ windows 7 ല്‍   control panel> trouble shooting>programs> program compatibility ഓടിച്ചും ശരിയാക്കാവുന്നതാണ്

ചിലപ്പോ firewall മൂലം കലിപ്പ് കാണിക്കാറുണ്ട് അപ്പോ നേരെ control panel>windows firewall> allow program through windows firewall ക്ലിക്കുക.  എന്നിട്ട് നമ്മുടെ VOIP കളെ  firewall ന് പുറത്താക്കി വാതിലടക്കുക.... തീരും..എല്ലാ പ്രശ്നവും അപ്പോ തീരും(windows 7 ല്‍)

windows XP യിലാണെങ്കില്‍ ദിങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാം
start>all programs>control panel>windows firewall>exception>add program.

Windows Blue Screen/Windows Black screen/The Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) എല്ലാം ഒന്നു തന്നെ


മച്ചമ്പീ..കലിപ്പ്..കലിപ്പ് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഇദാണ്. നമ്മള് സീരിയസായിട്ട് എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്തോണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോ  സ്ക്രീന്‍ അങ്ങ് ഫ്രീസ് ആകും. ചിലപ്പോ തന്നെ റീ സ്റ്റാര്‍ട്ട് ആകും . ഇല്ലെങ്കി നമ്മളു തന്നെ റീസ്റ്റാര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യണം(ചെയ്തു പോകും)

റീ സ്റ്റാര്‍ട്ട് ആയി വരുമ്പോ പ്രശ്നം തീരുമെന്ന് നമ്മ വിചാരിക്കും.

എവിടെ... അരമണിക്കൂര്‍-കൂടിയാല്‍ ഒരു മണിക്കൂര്‍- വീണ്ടും ഇതേ കൊഴപ്പം.

സ്ക്രീന്‍ തല്ലിപ്പൊട്ടിക്കാനൊക്കെ തോന്നും. വിഷമിക്കരുത്....വിഷമിക്കരുത്... ദാ താഴെക്കാണുന്നതൊന്ന് വായിച്ചു നോക്കുക (ഏതോ ആണുങ്ങള്‍ എഴുതിയതാണ്)

One of the main reported troubles with Windows 7 is the freezing problem- windows get freezes occasionally on multi- tasking. The main issue is that the freezing is un-predictable, it occurs randomly. After freezing mouse, keyboard may not work- the only option is power off or reset. The problem is common for both 32 and 64 bit systems. Here some tips to get rid off this problem

Excessive use of system resources: The minimum specified memory requirement for Windows 7 is 1 GB RAM for 32 bit and 2GB for 64 bit. The processor speed must be 1 GHz or greater. Remember this is minimum requirement. If you operate multiple programs a  1 GB RAM will not be sufficient for smooth operations.  The browsers like Firefox itself using around 200 MB on active browsing. If you have less system resources, remove the unwanted programs from startup and kill the idle processes through task manager

Registry issues: Another root cause of freezing problem is related with registry. Windows registry is a kind of database stores the information related to the software, hardware and user settings  used to run  the system. Each and every operation of a Windows machine is related to registry so the any problems with registry can vitally affect the system performance. Over a period of time, the registry become cluttered and fragmented which badly affect the system performance or can cause even a system crash. Then what is the solution for this?-Number of free registry tuning / tweaking utilities are available to clean and fix the registry problems.  Eg; Tuneup utilities, System mechanic, ccleaner.etc

Driver problems: The corrupt, outdated or incompatible drivers can cause the freezing of windows. Update your motherboard and other drivers with a latest one. Update BIOS with latest one.

Software issues- Some Softwares are not yet fully compatible with Windows 7, especially the anti virus softwares. Identify the culprit program through one by one enable/disable.

Driver problems: Many default drivers installed automatically along with the Windows 7 may not be compatible to your physical hardware especially the hard disc drivers.The main reported issues with graphic drivers. Get the correct drivers according to your hardware and re-install.

Virus infection- Update your anti virus software and scan the system for any issues. Malwares or worms can use high system resources on background which badly affect the performance of the operating system.

Power settings: Change the default power settings from balance to “high performance” which may solve the problem.

Hardware problems: Faults in the addon hardware like TV Tuner card, USB Hub, External hard drive, Modems etc. It has been noticed that the unused – incompatible hardware devices plugged into the system can crash the system. Remove such devices.

Updates: Microsoft releases regular updates to fix the OS related and security problems, hence it is always significant to update your system with latest patches.

ഇതൊന്നു സോള്‍വ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ കുറേ ഐ.എസ്.ഡി കോളുകള്‍ ചെയ്തു. ചാറ്റില്‍ വന്നവന്‍മാരെയൊക്കെ ശല്യപ്പെടുത്തി..


അപ്പോഴാണ് ആ മഹത്തായ സത്യം എനിക്കു ബോധ്യമായത്

RAM/key board/mouse/screen/CPU/ switch board/chair/computer table എന്നിവ മാറ്റി വച്ച് നോക്കാനും വൈറസിനെ പഴി ചാരാനും ഒക്കെ മാത്രമേ -----
കമ്പൂട്ടര്‍ കീ ബോര്‍ഡില്‍ തന്നെ കിടന്നു ഉറങ്ങുന്നു എന്ന് പറയുന്ന hi tech സുഹൃത്തുകള്‍ക്കും, "ബസ്സര്‍ ടെക്കികള്‍ക്കും" --------- ഇപ്പോഴും കഴിയൂ 




എന്നിട്ടും മനസ്സാന്നിദ്ധ്യം കൈവെടിയാതെ ഞാന്‍ കാത്തിരുന്നു... അവനു വേണ്ടി.....


കാത്തിരിപ്പ് അസ്ഥാനത്തായില്ല..ഒ‍ടുവില്‍ അവന്‍ വന്നു...
എന്റെ ഒരേ ഒരു അനിയന്‍ - എന്നെപ്പോലെ കറമ്പനനെങ്കിലും ഫയങ്കര ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള അവന്‍, ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ വന്നു പൂ ബിസ്കറ്റ് തിന്നുന്ന ലാഘവത്തോടെ പ്രോബ്ലം സോള്‍വ്‌ ചെയ്തുതന്നു.


വളവളാന്ന് എന്തൊക്കെയോ പറഞ്ഞതിന് ക്ഷമ ചോദിക്കുന്നു.. 
അവന്‍ ഈ പ്രോബ്ലം സോള്‍വ് ചെയ്തത് ഇങ്ങനെ


 Action centre ലെ മെസ്സേജ് തുറന്നു നോക്കി. അതിലെ എറര്‍ മെസ്സേജ് ഗൂഗിളില്‍  അടിച്ച് തിരഞ്ഞു... അപ്പോളാണ് പ്രോബ്ലം NVIDIA ഗ്രാഫിക്ക്‌ ഡ്രൈവറിന്‍റേതാണെന്ന് മനസിലായത്.  ഒട്ടും താമസിക്കാതെ ലേറ്റസ്റ്റ് ഡ്രൈവര്‍ ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്തു(കുറേ സമയം എടുക്കും കേട്ടോ). പഴയ ഡ്രൈവര്‍ uninstall ചെയ്ത് പുതിയതിനെക്കേറ്റി... വണ്ടി വീണ്ടും ഓടിത്തുടങ്ങി... ഞാന്‍ ഹാപ്പിയായി എന്നു പ്രത്യേകിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടല്ലോ


വാ.ക:
പ്രീ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ഡ് ഓ.എസ് ഉള്ള കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകള്‍(sony/dell/hp etc) റിക്കവറി ഡിസ്കുപയോഗിച്ച് പഴയ അവസ്ഥയില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവരുമ്പോ Blue Screen പ്രോബ്ലം കാണിക്കാറുണ്ടെന്നാണ് ഞാന്‍ പല ഫോറങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുമുള്ള കമന്‍റുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് മനസിലാക്കിയത്.  അതു കൊണ്ട് ലേറ്റസ്റ്റ് ഡ്രൈവറുകള്‍ ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്തു വയ്ക്കുന്നത് നന്നായിരിക്കും

7 ബൂട്ടിംഗ് സമയം കുറയ്ക്കാം

ഞാനിപ്പോ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ചില റ്റ്വീക്കുകള്‍..വേറെ ആര്‍ക്കും പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കരുത് കേട്ടോ..

പാഠം ഒന്ന്

ബൂട്ടിംഗ് ടൈം കുറയ്ക്കാം

1. Open the Start Menu.

2. In the white line (Start Search) area, type msconfig and press

Enter.

3. Click Continue for the UAC prompt.

4. Click on the Boot tab. (See screenshot )

5. Click on the Advanced options button.

6. To Change the Number of Processors at Boot -

A) Check the Number of processors box, then click on

the drop down arrow and select the number of

available processors (cores or CPUs) you want to have

used at boot up. (See screenshots below step 7)

NOTE: To test to see if this can speed up your boot

time or not, then select the highest number listed for all

of the available processors to be used at boot up and

check the Detect Hal box.

B) Click on OK.

C) Go to step 8.

7. To Restore the Default Number of Processors at

Boot -

A) Uncheck the Number of processors box.

B) Click on OK.

8. Check the Make all boot settings permanent box and click on

OK. (See screenshot)

NOTE: If you do not check this, then you will Selective startup

dotted instead of Normal startup under the General tab. You can

still make changes again by checking this again after any changes.

9. Click on Yes at the confirmation window. (See screenshot )

NOTE: You can restore or make changes to this again later if you

want. I will confirm it. Just remember or write down what you had set

(checked or unchecked) before if you wanted to restore back to those

settings later.

10. Check the Don't show this message again box. (See

screenshot)

NOTE: You will not see this again after checked.

11. Click on the Restart button.

NOTE: If you checked the box and want to restore this Restart box,

see: How to Restore the System Configuration Restart Prompt

WARNING: This will restart the computer immediately. Make sure

you save and close anything open you do not want to lose.

12. After you have started back to the desktop, you can check to see

what your new boot up time
